Caird Urquhart, BA, CPCC, ACC Coach, Author, Speaker

Caird is the founder and president of Newroad Coaching. She runs her business and her life as an optimist and opportunist and is known for her ability to inspire and motivate people.

Caird is no stranger to the health and wellness arena. For three generations she and her family have owned and operated the world-renowned Shouldice Hospital in Toronto-an institution known for its innovative and high quality health care since 1945. Caird serves as a Director of the company.

Prior to becoming a coach, Caird spent 18 years in the film and television industry as an actor, casting director and producer. During the span of her career she has worked with many of the industries’ finest entertainers and producers. From her years with Alliance Atlantis to her more recent projects with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Caird has held significant positions on television and film productions valued in the millions of dollars.

As a coach, Caird uses her production savvy and “anything is possible” philosophy to encourage her clients and audiences to look beyond their perceived reality to the “big picture” possibilities of their lives. Her clients learn quickly how to broaden their perspectives and inevitably their accomplishments.

Caird is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute of Los Angeles and is an accredited member of the International Coaches Federation. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wilfred Laurier University where she majored in Psychology and Physical Education.

Among other organizations Caird is a member of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise, Women in Film and Television, The Empire Club of Canada, Company of Women, The Porsche Club of America and the Power Squadron Association.
